When IVAN℠ detects unexpected activity, it will notify both you and our professional monitoring center in real time.

Using two-way audio, lights, sirens, and more, CPI’s Central Station Operators will attempt to deter the threat.

What is Night Guard?
Supported CPI Outdoor Cameras are equipped with Intelligent Video Activity Notifications, also known as IVAN℠. When IVAN detects a potential threat, it sends an alert to your phone. But during the overnight hours when you’re likely to be sleeping, we don’t want you to miss an alert. With enhanced AI, Night Guard allows CPI’s monitoring center to remotely detect, deter, and dispatch authorities for suspicious activity on your property.

How does Night Guard work?
When IVAN℠ detects a threat, it will alert you and CPI’s monitoring center. Our operators will pull up the live video feed to assess the situation. The operator can then utilize two-way audio, lights, sirens, and more to deter the threat from proceeding. If a crime is committed or someone continues to act suspiciously, CPI’s operators can escalate the situation by dispatching first responders.

What is CPI Night Guard?

What are the compatible cameras that can be used with Night Guard?
CPI Night Guard may be activated for homes or businesses with one of the following cameras: Outdoor Camera (ADC-724), Pro Series Bullet Camera (ADC-727), & Outdoor Floodlight Camera (ADC-729).
What are the standard hours for CPI Security's Night Guard?
Night Guard is configured to operate when the alarm system is in an armed state between the hours of 11:00 pm and 6:00 am. A shorter time frame can be chosen if desired, but the start time must be at or after 11:00 pm and the end time must be at or before 6:00 am.
How does CPI Security deter crime with my security cameras?
CPI’s monitoring center operators use several deterrents such as two-way audio, lights, and sirens to deter potential threats before dispatching authorities.
Do I have to confirm there's an emergency for dispatch?
No. Our monitoring center operators will access live video streams, assess the situation, and dispatch if there is clear evidence of suspicious activity or a crime in progress. You do not need to be awake while this happens.
What's the difference between video surveillance and Night Guard?
With CPI’s standard video surveillance and 24/7 alarm monitoring, monitoring center operators don’t access cameras until an alarm is triggered. With Night Guard, our operators are actively monitoring your home or business’ perimeter whenever a person or threat is detected and before an alarm is triggered.
