CPI Security is proud to present the CPI Security Community Impact Award to the Cary Police Department.
The Community Impact Award honors first responders in the Triangle area for going above and beyond in their community. CPI Security selected 14
School Resource Officers with the Cary Police Department for the award because of their work on Camp Confidence. Camp Confidence is a two-week long mentorship program for incoming freshman.
The rising ninth graders are hand selected by their school resource officers to participate in the program. The School Resource Officers go above and beyond to build relationships with the youth while teaching them valuable life skills like conflict resolution, team building, and internet safety to name a few. The program focuses on early intervention and empowering youth to visualize their future by exposing them to exciting college and career paths. The 2024 camps mark the return of the popular program since the 2020 COVID shutdown.
