CPI Security Cameras Capture Brushfire Spreading Out of Control
A North Carolina homeowner was out to lunch with her family, when her CPI Security Outdoor Camera detected several people on her property. Thinking someone might be intruding, she pulled up the live video stream through the CPI inTouch™ app. It wasn’t trespassers endangering her home. She watched as a brushfire quickly got out of control and spread toward her house!
The homeowner tells CPI Security her neighbor’s lawn mower caught on fire, which quickly spread through his yard to hers. The homeowner triggered the in-app panic button to alert CPI Security. CPI Security’s Central Station Operator responded to the alarm and dispatched the fire department for her.
Thankfully, the fire department made it before it was too late. Firefighters put the brushfire out, containing the damage to just her yard and fence. Her outdoor shed and home were saved.
